Leoistic Career

Leo Kasun joined the Leo movement as a charter member of Leo club of Mattegoda in year 2002. He served his club in the position of club secretary in year 2003/2004 and a director in year 2004/2005 and 2006/2007. He was able to lead the club in the position of president for twice in years 2007/2008 & 2008/2009.
Leo Kasun served the Leo district council as the Zone Director of zone B3 in the year 2009/2010. He was a committee member of Leo youth camp and Leo district conference in 2008/09 and also served as the treasure of both Leo youth camp and Leo district conference in 2009/2010. In the year 2009/10 he became the 1st vice president of Leo district council. Moreover, he held the position of Chairman in the Business Session at the annual Leo district conference 2010/2011.

 Leo Achievements

Leo Kasun has received the membership growth award in year 2003/04. He led the club to win 2 awards in Leo district conference 2007/2008 & 3 awards in Leo district conference 2008/2009. He became the Leo star of the month in the month of June 2009. And was the best Line officer Runner up in the District Conference 2009/2010.

Extracurricular Activities at School

Leo Kasun has played cricket for both school and club levels. He represented school cricket team at under 13 & under 15 and the BRC under 23 cricket team. He has also represented Mahanama College under 15 volleyball team, and have played the provincial tournament in year 2001.He was an active member of Leo club of Mahanama College and IT society in Mahanama College.  He was also a Committee member of the Ananda college science society in 2005 and Sinhala Literary union in Mahanama College.

Academic Details

Leo Kasun is a graduate from Curtin University, Australia in Computer Systems and Networking and also from Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology in Information Technology Specialized in Computer Systems and Networking. Besides that, he holds Bsc. in Physical Sciences from University of Colombo. 

Hobbies

Playing cricket is the most beloved hobby of Leo Kasun. He also likes to play Tap rugby. In addition reading books and playing computer games are his favorites too. He has also been a Multiplayer Gamer and has participated in few LAN gaming tournaments including Sri Lanka Cyber Games Tournament.

Family

He is the elder son of Mr. Q. Pathirana and Mrs. Nayana Pathirana. His father is a Bank Manager at bank of Ceylon and his mother is a house wife. His only brother Leo Sahan Pathirana is an Advanced Level student at Ananda College.
